At the harbor in Freest, in the immediate vicinity of the pier, there is a well-paved walkway to the newly created (2022) viewing platform. From here you have a great view of the island of Rügen, especially of the coastal strip of Thiessow and Göhren. I can highly recommend a trip with the cutters to the island “Ruden” for nature lovers.

If you like sailing ports, this is the place for you. This port is centrally located near the mouth of the Peene. Anyone who is on the Baltic Sea Cycle Path, for example, can take a wonderful break here.
