Built in 1822, the bridge was destroyed several times, most recently in 1945 due to the effects of war. Unlike many other ponds in the Muskau Fold, this is a natural pond. Also known as the Fire Tower Pond, the name of the Forest Railway stop of the same name, located just 100 meters from the pond.
