The beach bar at Boxberg Beach has a good selection of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. It is closed in winter, however. The beach area near the "Markise" is also beautifully decorated.

The Bärwalder See is Saxony's largest inland lake and was created from a leftover pit from an open-cast lignite mine. Flooding of the lake was completed in 2009. Today you can camp and swim on various beaches here. There are also small boat docks and interesting restaurants.
