The Schaddelmühle geoportal goes back to a mill belonging to the Cistercian monastery of Nimbschen. The mill was documented as early as 1525, although it is certainly older. After the Reformation, the mill fell into disrepair. It was rebuilt in 1860. From 1843 onwards, there was a bar next to the mill. In 1974, a ceramic artist discovered the mill and, together with the College of Fine Arts, developed it into an artist's studio.

The Gattersburg is a villa with an imitation castle ruin in Grimma. It stands on a rock directly above a suspension bridge over the Mulde, about 800 meters south of the historic town center. Gattersburg around 1910 The building was built in the 1880s on behalf of the paper manufacturer Max Schroeder.
