カタリネンカペレは、アール川沿いのブリュック村の村の教会として長い間奉仕してきました。村の上の山の斜面に、遠くからでも見えるようにそびえ立っています。内部は、祭壇画と、きしむ木製の階段を上ってアクセスできるロフトでシンプルに装飾されています。

Pützfeldにある聖マリア巡礼教会は、単なる絵になる写真撮影スポットではありません。Ahr川を見下ろすBiebelsleyの岩の斜面にそびえ立ち、その尖塔を空に向かって伸ばしています。この教会を訪れると驚かされます。初期バロック様式の内装は完全に保存されているようです。主祭壇、側祭壇、説教壇、告解室は豊かに装飾されており、その色彩は古風な香水「Echt Kölnisch Wasser」を少し彷彿とさせます。

As early as the 14th century, Ramersbach possessed a small chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara. When the church, built in 1738, became dilapidated, the parish decided to build a new one. The parish was hard-pressed to finance the construction of the hall, made of local quarry stone. The current church building, built in 1907/08 according to designs by Trier architect Peter Marx, is the only church in the Diocese of Trier to incorporate Art Nouveau elements into its furnishings. The ornate window glazing by Binsfeld, a glass workshop in Trier, based on designs by Josef Dornoff (1874–1944), is particularly striking. The altar is divided into three parts – both vertically and horizontally in the pedestal. The left panel depicts Abraham and Isaac, the right panel Melchizedek.

The castle's layout is rectangular. In addition to parts of the outer bailey and a gate – the so-called Gymnicher Porz – remnants of the defensive wall have also been preserved. Furthermore, on the south side of the complex stands an old gate tower (also called the Schellenturm), next to which are the ruins of the palace, which once housed a heated bishop's chamber. The first keep presumably stood on the pointed rocky outcrop in the northern corner. Extensive remains of the Romanesque castle chapel from the 12th century have been preserved to the north.

This connection between the two sides of the river is passable again. The major storm disaster of June 2021, which, among other things, severely devastated the Ahr Valley (and also cost human lives here), is still visible even after three and a half years.
