A beautifully landscaped spot practically on the trail. I even found a great swing!

Anyone arriving by bike briefly thinks they've landed on a film set. A tall tower, old railway carriages on the bank, sun loungers dotted around the place – and behind it: the Oder, calm and clear as a poem. Stay overnight? Absolutely. But you should call first: for a spot at the top. A deluxe view – just without an elevator. Those who carry luggage also carry stories. And at the top, they'll be rewarded with a view that silently takes your breath away. The food? There's food – but not à la carte. Rather, it's a surprise. One for everyone, freshly cooked and of the quality you'd hope for but rarely get. If you're lucky, you'll sit by the water in the evening, a glass in hand, your bike leaning against the wall, and you'll wonder if you'll ever want to go back to a regular hotel. Across the street, the Café im Turm – an insider tip, like something out of a travel guide that only insiders are allowed to read. A spiral staircase leads up, narrow and slightly vertigo-inducing. Upstairs: a room with a panoramic view. One floor higher: tables. At the very top: a vacation apartment for the brave with heart and wanderlust.

The Cafe in the Tower is one of *the* tips that people are happy to pass on on bike trips like this. Mega great location! Wonderful view of the Oder. You have to be a little afraid of heights to get to the cafe on the first floor. There are additional dining rooms on the floor above and you can even rent a holiday apartment on the top floor! Simply unique!

The houses are still in great shape and you can definitely take a break there. In front of the Pension Zollbrücke website: Unfortunately our restaurant is closed. On summer weekends, the ice cream stand in front of the house is open for you. The dam maintenance department is still located in town and is open from Friday to Monday. (I don't know when the entry is from).

Something really different: great to stay overnight! If you want a view, let us know when you book: as high up as possible. However: the machine house does NOT have an elevator! Food was super good and of high quality. However, a meal is cooked that you cannot choose beforehand. The building opposite is not directly part of it.

The original structure was built in 1892 as a railway bridge. The building was destroyed in 1945, blown up by the retreating German army. After the war, despite finding itself on the new Polish-German border, it was rebuilt in connection with the Soviet military doctrine assuming a quick offensive against Western countries. Despite the reconstruction, there were no trains running on it until the railway line was closed in 1999. Since 2004, efforts have been made to reuse the facility. In 2018, the Landscape Parks Complex of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Barnim-Oderbruch Office signed an agreement under which the bridge is to become a pedestrian and bicycle path
