The forest lake, which is around 280 metres long and around 90 metres wide, is around five metres deep at its deepest point. It is located in the northern part of the "Sonnenburger Wald und Ahrendskehle" nature reserve. Formerly known as the Black Pond, it was renamed the Devil's Lake almost 200 years ago. As part of the Hammerthal, there are numerous stories about the lake. Today, you can find numerous beaver tracks around the lake and some beaver lodges. A lawn invites you to linger and the lake itself is of course a great place to cool off.

The hiking trail around the Fängersee, embedded in the nature between Strausberg and Eggersdorf, offers a varied experience through forest areas and along the shore. The trail leads partly over unpaved and root-strewn paths, which can be muddy in wet weather. This stretch is part of a larger hiking route of around 24 km, which also includes the Bötzsee and the Fredersdorfer Mühlenfließ. Rest areas are rare, so bringing your own provisions is recommended, and the trails occasionally require attention when it comes to orientation.

We've now gone through quite a few towers in Brandenburg, and there isn't much to see on many of them. But this tower has it all and lands in the top 1-3 of Brandenburg, with the view in good weather is awesome. View to Poland. Accessibility for many unfortunately very difficult by bike, unfortunately best by car. With the MTB, there are very good trails from behind. Accessibility by bike on the Höllenbundesstraße from the front, without a bike path, is not recommended.

Anyone who wants to get the tower diploma has to climb the 112 steps anyway, but even without the tower diploma, a trip here is worthwhile: once you get to the top, you have a great panoramic view of the area around Bad Freienwalde. You can also see the Niederfinow boat lift from here. The Bismarck Tower is one of the oldest Bismarck Towers in Germany. You should find out about the prices and current opening times beforehand.

The Teufelssee is an idyllically located lake west of Bad Freienwalde. Several hiking trails, such as the Oderlandweg or the Turmwanderweg, pass by here. A very beautiful lake that invites you to linger and rest.
