Gigantic view of the Fichtelgebirge and in the direction of Kirchenlamitz, Rehau, Hof and Schönwald. The tower spirit at the entrance is happy about a small donation, but there is no fixed entrance fee and the tower is open all year round.

The summit area of the Rudolfstein is characterized by gigantic granite rock formations. One of them carries a climbing facility with stairs and railings. From the top you have a wonderful view of the Fichtelgebirge.

The lookout tower "Schönburgwarte" on the Großer Kornberg is 25 meters high. Any hiker can climb up and enjoy the view, the tower is always open. It is built from local granite.

From the castle ruins you have a panoramic view over the Waldstein range, to the Kornberg, to Schwarzenbach and Oberkotzau to Hof, south over the inner Fichtelgebirge to the Kösseine.

Probably the most beautiful view of the Fichtel Mountains. The atmosphere at the summit is particularly beautiful in the evening.

A visit to the Waldsteinhaus is a great way to round off a day of hiking. The inn has been renovated inside (summer 2024) and is now handicapped accessible. The cozy beer garden invites you to take a break. The new tenants offer delicious hearty food as well as coffee and cake. The prices are not exactly cheap, however.

The Epprechtstein with its castle ruins is Kirchenlamitz's local mountain. From the viewing platform on the 798 m high summit you have a wonderful view of the surrounding Fichtel Mountains. To the east is the Große Kornberg, to the south you can see the Kosseingipfel, to the west the Großer Waldstein. There are 14 quarries around the summit. The Epprechtstein granite is being mined in three quarries, the others have been decommissioned and partially renatured. Three varied circular hiking trails invite you to take short to long tours to explore the area. Climbing enthusiasts can test their skills on the rock face of the castle ruins. The quarry path is interesting for families, where there is a lot of interesting information about granite to be found out. A nice end is a visit to the granite labyrinth at the book house, which invites you to relax and discover.
