my home territory. Around the Döbraberg you can cross-country ski in winter on a groomed trail. Otherwise there are many forest and trail paths for biking. The view from the mountain rescue hut is unique. Here you can also stay overnight on 4 pitches with a tent. You can register via the Franconian Forest Tourism Portal

From the castle ruins you have a panoramic view over the Waldstein range, to the Kornberg, to Schwarzenbach and Oberkotzau to Hof, south over the inner Fichtelgebirge to the Kösseine.

The Hoher Stein lies west of Kirchenlamitz and northeast of the Großer Waldstein. Although the Hoher Stein is not far from the Kleiner Waldstein, it is less well known and can only be reached by a detour. The ascent is not for everyone, as it involves a ladder. A head for heights is required.

Probably the most beautiful view of the Fichtel Mountains. The atmosphere at the summit is particularly beautiful in the evening.

It has the character of a via ferrata. There is no railing at the top, you are completely exposed. If you are afraid of heights, you should still climb up to the first ledge, the view of the Kronberg from there is fantastic!

The Epprechtstein with its castle ruins is Kirchenlamitz's local mountain. From the viewing platform on the 798 m high summit you have a wonderful view of the surrounding Fichtel Mountains. To the east is the Große Kornberg, to the south you can see the Kosseingipfel, to the west the Großer Waldstein. There are 14 quarries around the summit. The Epprechtstein granite is being mined in three quarries, the others have been decommissioned and partially renatured. Three varied circular hiking trails invite you to take short to long tours to explore the area. Climbing enthusiasts can test their skills on the rock face of the castle ruins. The quarry path is interesting for families, where there is a lot of interesting information about granite to be found out. A nice end is a visit to the granite labyrinth at the book house, which invites you to relax and discover.
