The Großer Waldstein in the Fichtelgebirge has a wow effect for me, the mighty rock formations just amaze you. The summit plateau is easy to reach and has a wonderful view in all directions. Since there is a hiking parking lot directly below, it is a good starting point for many hikes.

The Hohe Stein in the Fichtelgebirge is always worth a visit when hiking, if only because of the view, is right on the hiking trail, the ladder is securely anchored in the rock, you are only unsecured at the exit.

my home territory. Around the Döbraberg you can cross-country ski in winter on a groomed trail. Otherwise there are many forest and trail paths for biking. From the castle ruins you have a panoramic view over the Waldstein range, to the Kornberg, to Schwarzenbach and Oberkotzau to Hof, south over the inner Fichtelgebirge to the Kösseine.

The Hoher Stein lies west of Kirchenlamitz and northeast of the Großer Waldstein. Although the Hoher Stein is not far from the Kleiner Waldstein, it is less well known and can only be reached by a detour. The ascent is not for everyone, as it involves a ladder. A head for heights is required.

Probably the most beautiful view of the Fichtel Mountains. The atmosphere at the summit is particularly beautiful in the evening.
