The term "Radlertreff zur Beichtmutter" (Cyclists' Meeting Place at the Confessor) is a charming, almost legendary name for a rest stop on the Austrian Danube Cycle Path, known above all for its friendly, family atmosphere. The name comes from the owner, who is affectionately called "the confessor" by regulars and cyclists – presumably because she not only serves food and drink but also always has a sympathetic ear for the worries and stories of passing cyclists. It's not a classic restaurant, but rather a rustic snack bar or a "snack garden." It's the kind of place where you quickly strike up a conversation with other travelers.

The Roter Hiasl restaurant enjoys an idyllic location on the outskirts of Vienna, near the Lobau wetlands, and offers traditional Austrian cuisine with freshly prepared dishes made from regional ingredients. The menu features classics such as schnitzel and beef soup, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. In summer, a large beer garden invites guests to linger outdoors, while in winter, cozy chalets provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. The culinary offerings are complemented by a selection of beers and Austrian wines. The restaurant is perfect for a relaxing break, lunch, or dinner.

In the Lobau, an obelisk-like monument commemorates Napoleon I's headquarters during the 1809 campaign. In the spring and summer of that year, Napoleon used the Lobau as a strategic location to coordinate his troops in the lead-up to the Battle of Aspern, which took place on May 21 and 22, 1809, and became one of Napoleon's rare military defeats. The monument itself bears an inscription plaque highlighting the historical significance of the site and is part of the Napoleon Trail, which leads to several memorial stones and historical sites in the Danube floodplain. Visitors can not only gain insight into Vienna's military history but also experience the natural surroundings of the Lobau with its riparian forests and waterways, which were considered strategically important then as they are now.
