The festival barn at Ulrichshusen Castle is a historically significant venue, converted from an old fieldstone barn (a huge farm building belonging to the estate). The restaurant "Am Burggraben" opened in 2001 – along with the hotel in the castle. It is located in a converted historic building, officially described as the former Old Watermill (or sometimes as the former stables), directly on the historic castle moat/lake. The location is very picturesque: in the center of the complex, right on the water, with a large sun terrace and a direct view of the castle and the lake.
