The Peacock Stone is beautifully hidden in the forest and is therefore a lovely spot to visit.

Knight's Stone No. 69 is located at Kohlplatz. This rock/stone from Schladen is not a knight's stone.

The path to the Kesselberg plateau is steep but a wonderful hike. 🫶

I particularly like the Kesselberg; it's a place of peace and seclusion, with a touch of a fairytale forest. A visit is worthwhile any time of year.

A beautiful, easy-going trail at a constant elevation over the broad ridge of the Kesselberg. Only the final stretch toward Konrad Reges Hut is very steep, but it can be bypassed via wide forest paths. It's especially beautiful in spring, when the blueberry bushes bloom in vibrant light green.

There are two guest rooms. When the weather is nice, there is still space outside under the shady trees. There are Palatinate specialties, changing daily specials, various types of coffee and home-made cakes. There is also draft beer from a local brewery and delicious Palatinate wines from the Meckenheim wine region. There is a large playground for the kids. A disabled toilet, a changing table and circular paths suitable for strollers. Private parties can also be organized.

A beautiful, steep path (up to the Kesselberg), which was newly constructed in 1953 and named after Dr. Friedrich Sprater - for his services to the Palatinate Forest Association.
