Sommerach is a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen and a member of the Volkach administrative community. Sommerach's history is closely linked to the Benedictine monastery in Münsterschwarzach, which ruled the town for a long time. In addition, several other noble families, including the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, were wealthy here. Nice view of the Vogelsburg

I particularly liked the route from Nordheim to Sommerach and back. Vineyards everywhere and in the most beautiful colors in autumn. The little town of Sommerach is also very charming. All the outdoor areas of the pubs were beautifully set and the inner courtyards of the winegrowers were beautifully decorated for autumn. Unfortunately, you can't drink a 'Schöpple' everywhere :-)

Picturesquely nestled and located between the vineyards on the Main loop, you can wonderfully drive along the Main, stop off and enjoy the wine. There are great meals at Gasthaus Mainblick. The inn in the center of the town is currently closed.

Nice place with a few good places to stop.
