The small bridge is hidden in the forest and takes you across the Brexbach stream. As you cross, you have a great view of the Brexbach Valley Railway viaduct.

Sayn Castle originated as a medieval fortified manor and is closely linked to the eventful history of the Counts and Princes of Sayn and Sayn-Wittgenstein. In the 19th century, it was remodeled in the Neo-Gothic style by Prince Ludwig Adolph Friedrich and his wife Leonilla. After suffering severe war damage in the 20th century, it was rebuilt and is now owned by Alexander, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn. Today, the castle welcomes visitors with exhibitions on the family history, princely salons, a restaurant, and the adjacent castle park with its butterfly garden. The bridge rises majestically out of the forest. It looks impressive! Behind it, the path goes up the Brexbach valley. A wonderful walk with many possibilities.
