ベンチからは、かつて1840年頃に干拓された「オーバータイヒ」が広がっていた平坦な牧草地を眺めることができます。牧草地の中央には小さな茂みがあり、そこにかつてのオーバータイヒの哀れな残骸が隠されています。このタイヒには、ヴォスカーテンの方向から来るピーペンベック川から水が供給されています。このタイヒは、12世紀にラインフェルデン修道院のシトー会修道士が造った60以上の魚池のうちの1つでした。

Located in the heart of the town of Reinfeld, the Neuhof Pond covers approximately 2.5 hectares and boasts a good population of carp, bream, tench, and various whitefish species, as well as predatory fish such as eels, perch, pike, and zander.
