Here the Ruhr is a bit wider. Olsberg is definitely worth a visit.

The Gierskoppbach flows into the Ruhr in Oldsberg. In the meantime, the Ruhr is no longer a trickle, but a somewhat larger stream.

You can enjoy a real summit feeling on the 704 meter high Olsberg with its summit cross. From here you have a fantastic view of Bigge, Olsberg and the surrounding Rothaargebirge. It's simply wonderful to experience the Lippe River up close and cycle right along it. The landscape is largely unspoiled, and you can observe numerous birds.

This is a great place to take a break. The service is nice and the drinks cold as it should be. If you only want to take a short break, you should at least stop at the ice cream machine and take a delicious soft ice cream with you for the rest of the way. Mmmmmmhhh….
