Located on the Rothaarsteig, it is used by many hikers and hiking groups, especially on weekends. Very nicely located and well suited for a rest. During the week it is better to pack something in your hiking backpack yourself, as the restoration is not open all the time.

"The Hiebammen Hütte on the Rothaarsteig and on the Sauerland forest route is about 60 minutes from the center of Brilon at an altitude of 490m. The hut kitchen invites you to take a delicious break.

In winter, some cross-country ski runs and groomed winter hiking trails lead right past the hut."

This is a great place to take a break. The service is nice and the drinks cold as it should be. If you only want to take a short break, you should at least stop at the ice cream machine and take a delicious soft ice cream with you for the rest of the way. Mmmmmmhhh….
