You have a fantastic all-round view from NRW's second highest mountain, the Kahler Asten. Spectacular panoramas wherever you look. At the summit, the bizarre landscape of the Hochheide invites you to go hiking and Nordic walking. In winter, endless cross-country ski trails stretch through white snow fields up there. Stay at the Lennequelle and let nature work its magic on you. On a clear day, you can see up to a hundred kilometers into the country from the Astenturm - to the Großer Feldberg in the Taunus, the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön and the Brocken in the Harz. Ideal place for a break

The Kahler Asten offers some beautiful views and a great heath landscape. The source of the Lenne and the Astenturm are nearby.

The forest sofas are common across the region. But also for short breaks after the ascent or descent, a successful alternative to rest and above all at locations where you also have a great view.
