中世、タフェルベルク城跡は、南東部の町のはずれにあった小さな塔の丘の城（モット）で、おそらく以前は聖地として使われていた丘の上に建てられ、テューリンゲン方伯の家臣に関連して初めて間接的に言及されました。14世紀には、城はエアフルト市の所有となり、交易路の確保に役立ちましたが、現在では、かつての堀があった約20メートル幅の瓦礫の円錐形だけが残っており、史跡として保護されています。

The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited. However, the pond and the park can be used for a relaxing stroll.
