Skovmøllen is a historic watermill located in the Marselisborg Forests just south of Aarhus. It’s Denmark’s only working undershot watermill, where you can see traditional milling in action on select days. Next to the mill, Restaurant Skovmøllen serves a delicious Danish brunch using local ingredients.

There are nice places to sit anywhere, there are good cycling and hiking trails. A great view just above the beach and the Infinity Bridge and a little below the game reserve

Although the building appears to be a natural part of the surrounding hilly landscape, the museum rises impressively above the historical surroundings.

The Marselisborg Trail starts here. There are blue, red and some black trails. There is something for everyone.

This concrete structure, typical of 1970s architecture, conceals many gems. In particular, there is a mummy discovered in a peat bog in 1952. It is the man of Grauballe who lived more than 2,000 years ago. This museum dedicated to prehistory but also to ethnography and anthropology is amazing! You travel from a period ranging from the Stone Age to the Viking era. The Germanic Iron Age treasures of Illerup Ådal deserve particular attention as the patterns on the silver and gold are delicate, subtle and precise.
