Skovmøllen is a historic watermill located in the Marselisborg Forests just south of Aarhus. It’s Denmark’s only working undershot watermill, where you can see traditional milling in action on select days. Next to the mill, Restaurant Skovmøllen serves a delicious Danish brunch using local ingredients.

Nice small harbor. Great for at short break

Exceptional architecture that blends harmoniously into the landscape. It's worth a visit just from the outside, even if you're not interested in the topics inside the museum.

Marselisborg Castle has been the summer residence of the Danish royal family since 1902. The building was completed on June 7, 1902 and was presented as a wedding gift from the Danish people to Crown Prince Christian and his bride Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The castle is still used as a summer residence by the royal family today. The castle is not open to the public, but the castle park can be entered by the public when the royal family is not present. With luck, Google Maps will somehow keep track of when the bridge is there and when it isn't. When we visited in early January, we weren't particularly hopeful of finding the bridge and that's exactly what happened... 🤷‍♂️
