On the bike path between Schiffdorf and Spaden, you'll find the lock. The Geeste River flows alongside it. A restaurant is located directly to the right of the bridge. A great bike path leads along the Geeste to Bremerhaven. Highly recommended 👍.

Beautiful historic mill. Looking through the windows you get an impression of how this marvel of technology was part of the life of a miller and the community. I'm very impressed! The mill is maintained by an association. There are opening times and events. The path is currently closed. It is gratifying that it is being redesigned as a cycle path between the Stauschleuse and Spaden and should be open to traffic again from September.

The Frisian Tomb North of Schiffdort, the Geeste makes a wide arc. It spans a fertile meadow area that is known as Winthusen. In the north-west corner of the arch when looking towards Bremerhaven. One finds a small elevation, popularly known as the "Fresengrave". Old people know the following about the Friesian grave: Frisians lived in the Wurster Land. These once made an incursion into the land. They came via Spaden and brought long beams and boards with. From this they built a bridge over the Geeste. crossed these and plundered the villages of the country. When they left. but they were persecuted. Twelve of them were killed and their bodies buried on the Geeste. Because they were Frisians, their grave was called 'Fresengrave'. Heimatverein Friends of Schiffdorf e.V.
