A magnificent alpine cabin, perched above the Rhône valley. The hut offers food and accommodation, as well as coffee and beer, making it a perfect place to relax after the grueling climb from the valley. The cabin is connected by a winding gravel trail, allowing relatively easy access with a variety of bikes, and even better, providing excellent descent. La Croix de Javerne is a picturesque peak in the Swiss Alps that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It can be accessed by a difficult loop which leaves from Javerne, a small village near Frenières-sur-Bex. The trail climbs steeply through forests and meadows, passing a bunker and a mountain hut. The summit of the Croix de Javerne is marked by a wooden cross and a signpost, where you can take a well-deserved break and admire the panorama. The path then descends to La Tourche, another refuge, and follows a stream to return to Javerne.

This superior ski resort is part of the Villars/Gryon/Les Diablerets ski area in Switzerland. It is located at the summit of La Jorasse, 1949 meters above sea level. The ski resort was served by a T-shaped ski lift, but this was closed and replaced by a 10-seater gondola in 2018. It is an ideal gateway to many hiking trails and mountain huts.

The summit is accessible via a hiking trail, but it is ultimately quite a difficult trail and should only be considered by those with adequate mountain experience. A steep and rocky summit, in the ridge leading to the summit of the Dent de Morcles. The summit overlooks what remains of the Morcles Glacier, giving this peak a real mountain atmosphere. The trails leading to this point and down from there follow a winding and beautiful ridge, with modesty of exposure at times.
