The Meuschkensmühle is a lovingly restored mill in the heart of the Mühltal valley, surrounded by forest, water, and hiking trails. Once a working mill, it is now a cozy destination with a restaurant, petting zoo, and riding stables.

Attention! I drove by today, and the entire house and decorations are gone. What a pity :-(

A little insider tip is the juice bar. Here you can get delicious soft-serve ice cream 😋 and homemade hot chocolate. They also have other great things. The price/performance ratio is perfect.

The first mention of a chapel in present-day Kleinlöbichau can be found in a document from 1353. This chapel had apparently fallen into disrepair by the 17th century. During the Duchy of Saxe-Jena (1672-1690), the then Duke Bernhard had the present church in Kleinlöbichau built within a few weeks in 1675, presumably as a token of thanks for the birth of his son. The building materials came from the dilapidated Thalbürgel Abbey, as can still be seen today. The church was consecrated on October 17, 1675, in the presence of the Duke. Later, the town of Kleinlöbichau belonged to the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar for a long time, while Großlöbichau, although closer to Weimar, belonged to the Duchy of Saxe-Altenburg.
