To Bullsbiker - you're right, I also saw that Hans is just collecting points so he can be a pioneer everywhere, that's not right. I'm going to try to report Komoot, what he's doing isn't right. I also discovered he has several accounts but only pays for one.

The thermal waters of Baños de Sierra Alhamilla are located in the village of Pechina, Almería. The spring emerges from carbonate rocks of the Nevado-Filábride Complex aquifer, with a constant flow at a high temperature (58°C). Benefits of the waters: Therapeutic: anti-inflammatory and analgesic (rheumatism, arthritis, neuralgia, trauma); antispasmodic and sedative effects due to radon. Dermatological: eliminate oil and dead skin, regenerate the skin; promote sweating and detoxification. Respiratory: beneficial for rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, asthma, and allergies; thin mucus. Digestive: help with gastritis, ulcers, dyspepsia, and gallbladder problems; prevent gallstones and reduce uric acid; diuretic and detoxifying.

The calcining kilns at the Lucainena de las Torres mining area are one of the most unique vestiges of the area's former mining activity. Eight masonry kilns with refractory brick interiors remain, used to process the ore before its rail transport to Agua Amarga. You can still see the loading platform for the wagons, remains of trenches, embankments, and even an old power plant. This complex offers a very interesting visit for lovers of industrial history and hiking through unique surroundings.

Near Tabernas lies a (semi) desert in Europe. A bone-dry area of 280 km² where the sun shines all year round and the least rain falls in all of Europe! Only a few days (approx. 3-4) per year heavy rain showers. Temperatures here vary from -5 ° to 48 ° C. This has resulted in a spectacular landscape around Tabernas.

Every year, many people get lost in the Tabernas Desert. Once you are in the middle of the desert, everything looks the same and the enormous heat can quickly get you into trouble. If you want to visit difficult to reach film locations in the Tabernas Desert, it is recommended to do so with a guide. (Or use the komoot route planning)

More recently (2016), the Tabernas Desert served as the setting for several locations in the series Game of Thrones. The scenes in the land of the Dothraki (season 6) and scenes on the gigantic steppe in Essos were filmed in the Tabernas Desert. Viewers of The Crown will see Charles and Diana visit Australia in season 4; these scenes were filmed in the Tabernas Desert. Several scenes from season 3 of La Casa De Papel were filmed in the Tabernas Desert and the makers of Penny Dreadful also came to this dry location for filming in 2016.

The dry climate of the desert is caused by the location of mountain ranges around the Tabernas Desert: as a result of rising rains, the water vapour in the air precipitates on these ranges and does not reach the desert. To the north of the desert lies the Sierra de los Filabres and to the south of the desert lies the Sierra de Alhamilla. Further away lie the Sierra Nevada and the Sierra Gador. The sun shines here for about 3000 hours per year. Source Wikipedia.
