On the Trail of the Nibelungs At the foot of the Erbeskopf massif, deep in the valley of the Kleine Dhron, lies the picturesque village of Dhronecken. The predecessor of its castle ruins was once the residence of Hagen von Tronege, referred to in the Nibelungenlied as "Tronjer."
