この素晴らしく古い森の湖には、数多くの興味深い伝説が語り継がれています。

休憩所のあるこの避難小屋は「Hütte am Teller」と呼ばれています。ここから数多くの方向に進むことができます。

大きなハイキンググループ向けの小屋がいくつかある広めの休憩所です。小屋の間にはBaaseeへ下りる道があります。反対方向には、Höhenrundwegへ続く急な階段があります。

道はさまざまな木立を縫うようにして、Baasee湖へと絶えず下っていきます。転がっている石、落ちた枝や小枝、砂地や緑のセクションが、このトレイルを変化に富んだものにしています。

In the 12th century, the "Freienwalde Castle" stood on a small spur above the town. In the 19th century, an artificial ruin was built on the now-defunct castle, which today serves as a lookout point. Only the remains of the moat remain. This ruin (the former Freienwalde Castle) is connected to the Bismarck Tower (standing on the remains of the former Malchow Castle) northwest of here by old tunnels. The castles and later lookout towers/points served as part of a defensive system along the edge of the Oderbruch and protected against enemies from the east. Today, one can enjoy a beautiful view of the town and into Bruch from here.
