The St. Anne's Church (Sankt-Annen-Kirche) was built around 1250 during the rule of the Cistercian monks over the village. The central location of this early Gothic church in the village center is typical for Angerdorf (village green) settlements like Zinndorf. The church was built entirely of fieldstones and is the most solid of all such churches in the area. The church is still largely in its original state today. It survived both the Thirty Years' War and the two World Wars of the 20th century unscathed.

The name "Highlight" is incorrect. This is where the rainwater collector from the Hegermühle residential area flows into the Herrensee, and the lake doesn't always carry water, depending on the weather. The Annafließ stream (when it does carry water) flows into the Herrensee on the northeast side. And here, the comments regarding the water level in the Annafließ are indeed (unfortunately) accurate.

For many years there has been a well-maintained seating area with a table and benches in the middle of the forest and close to the Eastern Railway.

Unfortunately, the riverside path is often muddy and an obstacle course over fallen trees.

There is still a castle or manor house and an old distillery here.

Unfortunately, the church already has some obvious cracks.

A nice quiet place!
