Located on the border of the Leyviller and Altrippe districts, the cholera cross dates back to 1778 and was erected during a cholera epidemic that ravaged the region. Called "the Acherkritz," it was the subject of a pilgrimage for many years, until the late 1960s, on July 13th for the feast of Saint Bonaventure. During a restoration, bone dust and a small box containing a relic of the saint were discovered.
