    Fu costruito come mulino per il grano nel 1783. L'elettore Karl Theodor aveva concesso la concessione per costruire un mulino sul Kupfersiefer Bach. Poiché il livello dell'acqua nel torrente era spesso basso e la potenza necessaria per azionare la ruota del mulino era carente, nel 1820 fu istituita una distilleria di grappa come attività secondaria.
