According to court documents, it was first mentioned in 1483. The water mill was built in 1734. It is part of the Meierhof facility from 1845. The water mill was operated with two grinding cycles until after World War II. Meyer-Nordhofe operated a second mill, especially for Flachsboken, about 200 meters above the stream from the Bexadde until it was demolished shortly before the First World War. Around 1900 until it silted up in the 1950s, the former reservoir below the Meierhof was also used as a bathing establishment. A new pond has now been created. The mill technology is available and is currently being expanded. A renovation of the mill is planned.
