Already in 1376 the Baldinger gate tower is present - the extensive Vorwerk completes 1406 a master Wenzlaw. This Vorwerk at Baldinger gate with the so-called Jewish wall was a kind of Torburg, which fulfilled the function and task of a bastion. In 1534, a new large tower, called "Emperor's Tower" was built. This stood in the area of the Jewish wall of the Vortor plant and was probably a kind of quarantine facility. The precautionary measure was apparently directed against the arriving (Wallersteiner) Jews - hence the name Jewish wall. In the Thirty Years' War, the Baldinger gate was severely damaged, so that it collapsed in 1703 despite various repair work - five people were killed. In 1705, the remnants of the gate system were renovated, preserving its present appearance. The Jewish Wall and the Emperor's Tower were demolished in 1820.
