Deep in their bowels, in solitude, in a small hilly valley, in a mountain meadow, through conifer needles and a green curtain of beechwood, the white walls with red roofs lit up before their eyes. Towers, Shrine, History and Culture in One Place - Monastery of St. Nicholas (Nikolai) ORAHOVICA - an oasis and spiritual refuge for Orthodox believers, a historical, cultural and tourist destination of curious well-wishers.

A narrow asphalt road leads to the monastery, a branch of the Orahovica - Kutjevo road connection, above Chibger. Breath of life gives him a cheerful mountain creek that springs in the immediate vicinity. A monastery can be seen from the landscaped lookout on the mountain pass. Red roofs and white walls just below, down in the chasm.

Even today, the desert hermitage, not far from the monastery, is still mentioned in the people. The oldest preserved records from the monastery itself date from 1583.
