Two figures of red sandstone can be discovered by the attentive observer on the facade of the town hall. As far as the market is concerned, the "hackers" with their wine cups and huts point to the importance of viticulture and trade for the city. On the north side, a female figure, the "Kitzinger Kätherle", stretched her bared hindquarters in the direction of the formerly opposite monastery, today's district office. Tradition has it that the Kathlev was a nun, who was expelled because of an alcohol problem of the monastery and with the rough gesture and the Weinkandel in the hand defiantly greets over there. The scene is also interpreted in such a way that the citizens of Kitzingen not only demonstrated their self-confidence with the town hall construction, but also had it arranged by the filthy Kätherle, which was held by the religious nuns 😛
