Odensjön is worth a visit because of its fantastic location and its different shapes. However, there is more to see than just a round lake. Odensjön is an almost perfectly circular groundwater lake on the edge of the municipality of Röstånga. It lies in the depressed part of a crack valley running north-south. The lake is known for its shape and there have been many myths about its formation and history. Among other things, it was always claimed that the lake was bottomless. Lake Odense has crystal-clear water and is 19 meters deep. The water maintains a temperature of approximately 6-8 degrees Celsius at the bottom. The fact that the temperature is so consistent throughout the year is due to the lake's relatively deep water supply and its drainage. The water surface is 60 meters above sea level, and the plateau is approximately 100 meters above sea level.
