Impressive bunker system.The actual construction work on Weingut I began in July 1944. The plans envisaged a bunker consisting of twelve arches, which would extend 400 m in east-west direction. At the bottom it was designed to be 85 m wide. The interior height was planned to be 32.2 m, 19.2 m below ground level.
