    Probably the narrowest house is the listed former transformer house "Café Winzig" in Wittenburg.

    The former transformer station is centrally located at Bahnhofstrasse 1a, corner of Lindenstrasse. The building served as a café for a time, aptly named "Café Winzig".

    After a fire, it was restored and is now used as a private residence.

    When the observer stands in front of the house, there is initially nothing to indicate that it was once a transformer station. Only on the back, above the mansard roof of the extension, does its former function become apparent: fortunately, the wall bushings for the former medium-voltage overhead lines on the gable have been left intact and document that electricity from the former transformer was processed inside.

    Luckily, this transformer station, artfully bricked in the old handicraft tradition, is a listed building and could even be unique.
