The story of the tree is much older ... he is a good 400 years old and a witness of history ... really a mighty oak tree. If you are planning a tour for her ... then stop in front of this ancient artwork of nature.
... and here a trip and a little background knowledge to the oldest oak 🌳 on Krk 🤗.

The village of Poljica is located a few kilometers from the sea and 12 km from the town of Krk. The old town with its buildings from the Renaissance is surrounded by oak forests of squirrel oak (Quercus petraea). The largest and oldest sessile oak is located above the bay Čavlena. The circumference of her trunk is 5.4 m and the perimeter of the treetop is about 30 m. It is over 20 meters high and its age is about four hundred years.

The lowest branch that grows parallel to the ground is about 15 meters long and its circumference near the trunk is greater than 3.5 meters.
