Place of pilgrimage - legend After the miraculous healing of his son, who had stabbed himself in the eye with the tip of a knife, Hans Lechleitner and Johann Raimund Fieger von Kronburg had a portrait of the Virgin Mary painted (after Lukas Cranach) and a chapel built. The pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary was built as a chapel in 1673 and expanded between 1714 and 1717 after receiving numerous donations from pilgrims. The result was a baroque gem. There are a number of votive offerings near the entrance. Each of the pieces tells a story: of wishes and prayers that have already come true. The pilgrimage church belongs to the diocese of Innsbruck as a chaplaincy of the parish of Zams.
