The HADAG line 62 of the Hamburg harbor ferries is not only an important part of the HVV, but also a cheaper alternative to the classic harbor tour for those in the know.
The scenic route leads upstream along the Elbe past many sights.
The HADAG line 62 is probably the most popular line of the HADAG harbor ferries
and its passenger numbers are constantly growing. As part of the HVV, it is an important transport option for commuters to get to the other side of the Elbe quickly and cheaply.
For tourists, it is also popular as a cost-effective alternative to the classic harbor tour. The scenic route leads from bridge 3 at the Landungsbrücken down the Elbe and stops at many popular sights. After the Landungsbrücken
the first stop is at the famous fish market, then continues downstream to the Cruise Center Altona and the Dockland. Next, the ferry stops at the Övelgönne museum harbor,
from where the Elbe beach invites you to sunbathe, take a walk and watch the ships.
The ferry then crosses the Elbe and stops on the other side in Finkenwerder,
from where it begins its return journey upstream.

Of course, a ferry cannot offer the same as a professionally guided harbor tour, but a tour on line 62 is still worthwhile. From the water
you can not only watch big container ships or cruise giants on the Elbe,
but you can even take your bike with you and have yourself dropped off at the Övelgönne museum harbor, for example, and cycle towards Blankenese, Othmarschen or Ottensen.
If you travel all the way to the other side of the Elbe, you can change to ferry line 64 from there
    and continue to Teufelsbrück.

Short sea trip to cross the Elbe.
Always in great demand when the weather is nice.
