Mountain Biking Highlight
Recommended by 1608 out of 1647 mountain bikers
Location: Taunusstein, Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, Darmstadt District, Hesse, Germany
The hunting lodge was built in 1823-1826 by Duke Wilhelm I of Nassau. Destroyed to the outside walls in the Second World War, it is currently being gradually rebuilt by the Jagdschloss Platte e.V.
The castle can already be used for events.
From here, hikes along the main Taunus ridge can be undertaken.
We recommend a detour to the highlight "beautiful view of Wiesbaden" (komoot.de/highlight/181783).

Good starting point for tours in the direction of Hohe Kanzel, Kellerskopf and Schläferskopf.

From here most of the "interesting" trails leave for Wiesbaden. This is also where the Wiesbaden MTB Marathon starts. Therefore, you meet in every weather and every season "crappy" from here with two wheels, mostly full suspension, fall down the mountain.
