    In Marienberg, a district of the city Burghausen (Upper Bavaria), is visible from afar the two-towered pilgrimage church of St. Maria Himmelfahrt. The "Pearl of the Salzach Valley". It was built in the years 1760 to 1764 by the market master mason Franz Alois Mayr and is considered one of the most beautiful rococo churches in Bavaria.
