The "Festplatz Frankens" with many attractions

        The market place of Feuchtwangen

The center of the city center is the market square, known as the "Festsaal Frankens". It captivates with its remarkable town houses and the old Franconian half-timbered buildings. A particular attraction of the square is the tube fountain built in 1726.

The Collegiate Church overlooks the market square on the north side. The Gothic choir and sacristy of the former monastery church date from the 15th century. The late Gothic Maria Altar was made in 1483 by Michael Wohlgemuth, Albrecht Dürer's teacher.

The Romanesque cloister on the south side of the collegiate church probably dates from the second half of the 12th century. In its current appearance, it encompasses an almost square courtyard. Three sides are designed as arcade walls, the southern end is today's cultural office of the city.
He is a household name for culture and theater lovers throughout Germany. During the theater season and rehearsal period (mid-April to the end of August), the cloister can only be visited through the cloister café (closed on Mondays and company holidays at the end of August).
