Castle Castle is always worth a visit. We (family with two children, 3 and 8 years) have participated in a guided tour for the first time. The entrance incl. Guided tour was only 14 € for the whole family. The tour took about 45 minutes and was entertaining and entertaining for both adults and children. The highlight for the children was certainly to be able to put on a real knight's helmet or a chain mail in the end.

Burg Castle sits enthroned 110 meters above the Wupper, and the defensive keep can be seen from afar. Inside there are massive walls, huge archways, narrow alleys, narrow courtyards and sunny terraces. The origins go back to the 12th century: In the Middle Ages, the castle was the seat of the Counts of Berg, the scene of court festivals and a place of great politics. Today it is one of the most popular excursion destinations in the region. Anyone who comes here is embarking on a journey through time to the Middle Ages - swords and armor included. History comes to life here and you get an impression of how it used to be.
The view from above, over the valleys and heights of the Wupper Mountains, into the vastness of the Bergisches Land is simply fantastic. Restaurants in the immediate vicinity invite you to take a break.
