The Nonnweiler Reservoir is located directly at the Hunsrück Hochwald National Park. A trip there; as well as the nearby "Hunnenring" I can only recommend.

Always nice for a family trip. Only about 50 meters long steep piece directly after the dam on the circuit.

If you restrict yourself to circumnavigating the lake (17 km), this is absolutely suitable for families. Finely graveled, firm path. Unfortunately no refreshment stops - so take something with you ;-) Nice resting places are available!
