The La Hougue Bie passage tomb [La Huhg Bii] is one of the largest and best preserved megalithic tombs in Europe. As in Newgrange (Ireland), the sun shines into the burial chambers for half an hour in the morning at the equinox on March 20th or 21st and September 21st or 22nd. It is estimated that the tomb was built in 3500 BC. was built. The heaviest stone weighs about 20 tons. How did they manage that? I'm always amazed and absolutely thrilled. You can also watch the short info film in German. The whole area has a lot to offer! It is best to take a guided tour and bring a little time with you.
