The parish church in Tuczno is a neo-Gothic church from the late 19th century, listed in the register of historic monuments as an important element of the architectural heritage of the Inowrocław region.
🛠 History and Architecture
- Built between 1889 and 1891 according to the design of renowned architect Alexis Langer from Wrocław.
- Constructed of red brick, in the neo-Gothic style, with a distinctive front tower.
- The church replaced an earlier wooden church that existed in Tuczno as early as the 13th century – the first mention comes from a document of Duchess Salomea from 1292.
🎨 Fittings
- The church's interior houses Mannerist and Baroque altars, including works from the school of the Gdańsk painter Herman Han.
- The chancel contains paintings depicting, among others, The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Communion of St. Stanislaus Kostka. - Preserved wooden choir with late Renaissance woodcarving.
