From the skywalk at Cabo Girão, you can look through the glass floor to the 580 meters lower coast with the terraced fields.

The vantage point is really ok, but I did not like the Levada Tour (Levada do Norte) starting point Estreito de Camara, a lot of garbage from the locals on the track, dead rats in the standing Levada, a lot of barking dogs in inhabited area, a dog left me barking after, there are more beautiful tours, you do not have to do this, then had a bad mood, half a day wasted on such a beautiful island.

a great view to Funchal and on a transparent platform, which is getting used to at the beginning, because it goes down about 500 m, but really great!

Cabo Girão is well worth a look in all directions, but if you stand on the platform, the view of Funchal in the east and the cliffs in the west are phenomenal.

The view of Camãra do Lobos and Funchal from Cabo Girão is unforgettable. You should definitely come here if you are on Madeira. Cabo Girão is about 9-10 km west of Funchal and is easily accessible by bus or taxi if you do not have a rental car.

The view from Cabo Girao towards Funchal, but also down to the beach and the sea is impressive. Attention: you should be free from giddiness. This is the second highest cliff in Europe, it goes down 580 meters steeply.

Very stunning observation deck with non-slip glazing.
    Access is free.
The view all around or into the depth is worthwhile!
