.. near Crailsheim in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg there are various sequoia trees.- Perhaps this sequoia tree also comes from the famous Wilhelma seed from 1864 when King Wilhelm had over 5,000 strong plants sown in Wilhelma. This amount was of course too big for the small area of Wilhelma, which is why the trees were distributed to the forestry departments in the country. A total of 200 sequoias from this first, so-called Wilhelma seed from 1864, still exist today between Lake Constance and Odenwald.
