Amazingly, this line has been in operation since 1853! The cable ferry, called "Tussy II," is the only way to get from Geltow or from Caputh-Geltow station to the actual town of Caputh, unless you want to make a long detour towards the Schwielowsee lido. This shortcut, approximately 80 meters long, is definitely worth it!

For little money, you can have a great experience, especially since the pier has a unique atmosphere. The view is of Lake Templin (left) and a canal-like connection to Lake Schwielowsee (right) as you cross from Geltow.

Prices: Currently still only 50 cents for pedestrians, 1 euro for cyclists, and 2.50 euros for cars (as of August 2025)!
